Polished Concrete

Polished concrete floors are known for their long lifespan. These floors are hard and don’t naturally dent or chip like softer surfaces. Many polished concrete floors are guaranteed for a minimum of 20 years but with the correct maintenance and care, these floors could last a lifetime.

 

While polished concrete floors can last a lifetime, much of this will depend on the skills and experience of those who are in the process of laying down the floor. Protection and finishing are a key part of the process that can impact the lifespan of the floor.

 

Polished concrete is concrete treated with chemical densifiers, then protected with eco friendly concrete stain protectors. This chemical treatment is necessary to harden and penetrate the exposed concrete, and then sealed for spill protection, and low maintenance. This concrete polishing process adds many years to the life expectancy of the concrete floor.
